American Estimate Hub

Specialties counted so nothing slips through the cracks.

Division 10 takeoffs: toilet partitions and accessories, signage, lockers, fire extinguisher cabinets, corner guards, and more.

Division 10 items are small individually and easy to miss collectively. Toilet partitions, grab bars, mirrors, dispensers, signage, lockers, fire extinguishers and cabinets, corner guards, and wall protection are scattered across plans, elevations, and specifications.

We count each item by type from the drawings and the project manual and list them by room or area, so specialty suppliers can quote directly and general contractors can confirm the scope is fully covered.

What we quantify

  • Toilet compartments and urinal screens (EA)
  • Toilet and bath accessories (EA)

  • Postal specialties (EA)

What the estimate accounts for

  • Specs versus plans: Many specialties are defined only in the specifications, so we read both and note items with unclear locations.
  • Blocking and backing: In-wall blocking for accessories and grab bars is flagged so it is carried by the right trade.
  • Owner-furnished items: Items furnished by the owner and installed by the contractor are separated from contractor-furnished items.
  • Accessibility requirements: Accessible stalls, grab bars, and mounting requirements are counted as shown on the plans and elevations.

Who orders it

  • General contractors
  • Specialty suppliers and installers
  • Owners and facility managers

Frequently asked questions

Why order a separate specialties takeoff?

Specialties are often spread across many sheets and spec sections. A dedicated count helps make sure each item is carried by a supplier or a trade.

Do you include signage?

Yes. Room signs and code-required signage are counted by type when shown on the signage plan or specified.

Do you note owner-furnished items?

Yes. Owner-furnished and contractor-installed items are listed separately so responsibilities are clear in your bid.
