Division 08 is a counting exercise with a lot of detail behind each count. We reconcile door and window schedules with floor plans and elevations so every opening is accounted for by type, size, material, fire rating, and hardware set.
Doors, frames, and hardware are listed opening by opening. Windows are counted by type and rough opening, and storefront, curtain wall, and glazing are measured by SF and LF of framing, so suppliers and installers can quote the package directly.

- Hardware by set: Hardware is tallied by set and component, including hinges, closers, locksets, exit devices, and stops.
- Installation conditions: Rough opening sizes, flashing, and sealant at exterior openings are noted so installation scope is not missed.
